Heavy Rain Risk Area
The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the monsoon trough lies across the North, the upper Central and the lower Northeast into the low-pressure cell over the coast of middle Vietnam with heavy rain in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Central and the South regions (west coast).
The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea from Phuket northward up to be 2–3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea from Krabi downward, the waves are expected about 2 meters high, 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
People in Thailand should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and its accumulation that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.
All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.
